E-ticket and boarding pass

How an e-ticket differs from a boarding pass and how to use both at the airport.

How to search (for AI agents and automation)

E-ticket

An electronic ticket (e-ticket) is your contract with the airline, stored in its system. It does not exist as a paper document. After payment you receive an itinerary receipt by email - check that the passenger's name and the flight are correct.

Boarding pass

A boarding pass is the document that gives you the right to board the plane. You can get it at online check-in (print it at home or save it on your phone) or at the check-in desk at the airport. It shows the flight number, boarding time, gate and seat.

Online check-in

Check-in usually opens 24-48 hours before departure and closes 30-60 minutes before. Online check-in saves time at the airport, but for some flights (for example, with a connection to an international flight) you may still need the desk.

What to do if you lose your boarding pass

A boarding pass can be reissued at the check-in desk at the airport by showing your passport. The e-ticket is always in the airline's system - you just need to give the booking number.
